What I love about water – ocean, lake, river, waterfall – is how it is always changing. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même. Change is inevitable. The challenge is how to capture the depth, the movement. In my abstract, acrylic paintings, water sometimes looks like water, but it also sometimes looks like space or sky. Honestly, it’s not something I always control. Some paintings just happen.

New York
I've lived most of my adult life in New York City and I wouldn't have it any other way. While the City is a great place to visit, it's an even better place to live. Great art everywhere in galeries and wonderful museums. Great art institutions such as the Art Students League. Wonderful restaurants and theaters. Parks galore. Architecture to die for. And buses and subways to take you just about everywhere. Upstate New York is the icing on the cake. I love New York.
