The challenge is how to capture the depth, the movement. In my abstract, acrylic paintings, water sometimes looks like water, but it also sometimes looks like space or sky. Sometimes the sunsets outside my window are so glorious I take pictures and then try to paint them later. No matter how hard I try, the paintings often fall short. This time, I think I got it. It takes my breath away.
