The challenge is how to capture the depth, the movement. In my abstract, acrylic paintings, water sometimes looks like water, but it also sometimes looks like space or sky. Honestly, it’s not something I always control. Some paintings just happen.

DESCRIPTION:
The patterns of the snow on the rocks along the West Side Highway in upper Manhattan continue to inspire me. It’s amazing how blue and varying browns with the white of the paper showing through can convey the shadows of the clouds that you can see on the snow and the rocks. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this.
