Winter 17
A well-known artist/instructor once told me that a series should have 17 paintings. Who am I to argue? So this is the last (for now) of my Winter paintings, created with acrylic and a palette knife, in this case on unstretched gessoed canvasboard. The weather outside is starting to get warmer and it's getting harder and harder to paint winter, though my childhood memories of winters across Canada are still very strong. There is never a lot of detail, just the snow, the trees and the wind.
