The challenge is how to capture the depth, the movement. In my abstract, acrylic paintings, water sometimes looks like water, but it also sometimes looks like space or sky. Honestly, it’s not something I always control. Some paintings just happen.

DESCRIPTION:
This painting conveys the turbulence in the Gulf caused by the Deepwater Horizon disaster, oil spill and resulting ecological damage. It’s my fervent hope that the winds of change are blowing and that we will no longer tolerate the greed and laziness on the part of the government officials who didn’t do their jobs and the oil executives who cut corners.
