Honestly, it’s not something I always control. Some paintings just happen.

Alcohol inks on a tile intended for alcohol inks is just like painting on clayboard or gessoed canvas, and almost as good as on Yupo. That is, the ink moves around pretty freely, but not as smoothly as on Yupo. After it was all dry, I went back in with more alcohol and softened some of the edges. Some colors, obviously, are staining and can't be removed or softened. Live and learn.
