Somebody Else's Home
This painting has had many lives. First it was about a beautiful sky, home to magnificent swooping birds. Then the land intruded and it was the sun going down over the hills, home to ...? Then there was a river flowing down and .... Then it almost all looked like the sun reflected in the water. Now, there are some clouds playing leapfrog? I'm not sure. Sometimes I'm amazed at how my paintings can just take over and do what they want ... and with each change, I have to rethink who could live there.
