The challenge is how to capture the depth, the movement. In my abstract, acrylic paintings, water sometimes looks like water, but it also sometimes looks like space or sky. Honestly, it’s not something I always control. Some paintings just happen.

Playing around one day at the Art Students League in my Abstract Painting class with Frank O'Cain, I decided to go back to using the hard rubber wedge to move the acrylic paint around on Yupo. I just love the effect.
