Fantasy
A couple of months into the stay-at-home Pandemic, while compulsively trying to clean up my studio so I could paint again, I came across a canvasboard onto which I had obviously dropped water and then paint to create a sort of amorphous sky-scape. It wasn't terrible, just clearly incomplete. I added some darker greens and browns at the bottom to create the land, moved some of that color up into the sky (color should never be just in one place in a painting, because color is one way to move the viewer's eye around the painting), and used Acrylic Glazing Liquid, water and titanium white to extend the white cloud down into the ground. Since this had never been anyplace real, I called it Fantasy.
