The challenge is how to capture the depth, the movement. In my abstract, acrylic paintings, water sometimes looks like water, but it also sometimes looks like space or sky. I couldn't have been much more than three, but I remember the sunset over the lake. The only sign of humanity was the wood smoke rising up from the opposite shore. It was calm and peaceful, and I cherish the memory.
