This painting has been trying to "be" for well over six months. It was always going to be a stormy, windy day over the water, but I kept changing it and then not liking the results.  
 
So last month I decided to bite the bullet and really redo the sky. This time the experiment involved putting down molding paste to create the sweep of the sky and the water, then painting the sky with a sponge dipped in various colors by dabbing /swiping/squeezing it onto the canvas.  Well, of course, that meant the water also needed repainting, and then changing again.  Any second now I'm going to see something else to ...
 
All of which now adds up to an almost completely new/different painting. I can no longer recall what the original I stared at for months looked like.
